Nifty Weekly Range Prediction for 1-August-2022 to 5-August-2022 | Dalal Street Week Ahead | 1st Week of August 2022

Let us predict the nifty range for 1st week of August 2022 (1-August-2022 to 5-August-2022) based on the ATM straddle in Nifty. We sold at the money call (CE) and put (PE) options one lot for 115 and 138 respectively.


So the combined premium comes around 253. The closing price of Nifty last Friday was 17158.25. So adding and subtracting the premium collected to 17158.25 we get the lower and upper value of the range for this 1st week of August 2022 which is 16906.25 to 16411.25. The pay off chart is shown below:


As you can see, the breakeven of this straddle is 16947(-1.23%)17453(1.72%) which is 1.23% on the downside and 1.72% on the upside of Nifty for the 1st week of August 2022.
